IAB Spider and Bots Detection

The IAB Spider and Bots Detection capabilities enable customers to programmatically determine whether a request is originating from an actual user, or from a robot or spider, by validating the User-Agent string of the visitor against the IAB / ABCe International Spiders and Bots List data in real time. It can subsequently programmatically control the actions based on the result, for example to block the request.

Lookups to the list are frequently used in conjunction with the Mirror Image Pixel Tracking Solution to identify each impression in the log file accordingly, or can be used in conjunction with more comprehensive logic.
