Mirror Image provides sophisticated mobile device redirect capabilities that work in conjunction with the mobile device detection capabilities, which detect whether the request is from a mobile device, and if so, the specific device type (such as Blackberry, Droid, iPhone, etc.) by inspecting the User-Agent header, by reading cookie values, and via other methods. These capabilities directs the Mirror Image CDN to serve specific content, or re-directs to a specific URL that is optimized for each device type in real time to provide each visitor with an experience that is optimized for their device type.

The WURFL Device Description Repository has been embedded into the Solution, containing accurate and frequently updated descriptions of thousands of devices, and corresponding device capabilities.

Also, built-in capabilities within the Mirror Image network enable H.264 content to be streamed simultaneously to multiple players and devices, eliminating the need for multiple encoded assets, and multiple player-specific encoders and servers.
