Job Title:  Software Engineer - Data Analytics

Responsibilities:

Mirror Image is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain web-based applications to provide customers with rich traffic analytics on top of a large-scale data warehousing platform.  This engineer will work with senior technical staff, customer support, and operations to provide internal support for traffic analysis applications.

Job Requirements:

*  Comfortable using one or more Unix-based operating systems for coding, testing, and delivery is required:  Linux, Solaris, Mac OS X, etc. 
*  Ability to collaborate and work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
*  Disciplined creation and adherence to personal schedules for delivery are essential.
*  Should have strong oral and written communications skills.
*  Experience collaborating with senor technical staff is required.
*  Demonstrable experience with technical design and analysis is required.
*  Solid experience working with relational databases and SQL (esp. Oracle) is required.
*  Proficient use of Eclipse for development is required; Gnu toolset (gdb, gcc) is a plus.
*  Familiarity with multi-threaded server software is desirable.
*  Working knowledge of HTTP, and implementing client server and HTTP applications is highly desirable.
*  Experience with OLAP and ETL tools and techniques are highly desirable.
*  Experience building and using REST-style web services or related technologies (i.e., JAX-RS, Restlet, etc.) is highly desirable.
*  Familiarity with Javascript, CSS, HTML, and at least one commonly used scripting library (i.e., jQuery, Prototype, etc.) are a plus.
*  Familiarity with JSP, Google Widgit Toolkit, Java Server Faces, or other similar Java-based libraries for web user interfaces is a plus.

Education/Experience:

*  6-12 years of software engineering/development experience, with at least 3-4 years of experience designing/developing in Java (required) and C++ (desired).
*  BS degree in EE or CS, or equivalent industry experience, is required.
